Tigers are a big hit an annual art exhibition

Tiger artwork and one of the winners, Erin McDonnell with David Shepherd and Steve Leonard
Tigers were a popular theme at this year's Global Canvas Art & Poetry exhibition and prize-giving held at the amazing Natural History Museum in London on March 13. The event was a real celebration of young talent with art and poems submitted from the UK, Russia, Hong Kong, Nigeria, Zambia and many other places too!
Guest speaker, vet and TV presenter, Steve Leonard gave two brilliant talks to inspire young people to be part of conservation whatever their skills.
"We need engineers and pilots, vets and pr professionals, every skill you can imagine is important to conserving wild species," he said. When asked what his favourite animal was Steve had no hesitation in saying "the tiger" and, of course, we agree!!!!

Global Canvas is run by CubClub's parent, the David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation. We'd love to see your entries in 2015 - the theme is 'We can heal our world'.
